READY OR NOT, HERE WE COME, YOU CAN'T HIDE...
Saturday 10th April 1999 - STREET PARTY for 121 CENTRE, BRIXTON - 2pm
Hello supporters of the occupied 121 Centre in Brixton. Things have been
hotting up here with a few cafes and small events. But now, here is the
first good news of the spring. There will be a Street Party in support and
defence of The 121 on Saturday 10th April. That will mark something like Day
86 behind barricades !!
This is only the briefest of details as yet but we are sending this out now
because we want as many people to hear about it as possible. Please forward
this message thru' your own networks. Thanks. More details to follow soon...
STREET PARTY at 121 -
There will be DJ's, music, free food, painting 121, no cars, dancing,
performers, acts of the imagination, info tables, creative resistance..oh a
whole host of temporary autonomous zone activity.
- The meeting point is at 2pm sharp! Outside the 121 Centre, 121 Railton Rd,
Brixton London SE24
- Things we need people to bring to 121 before the day inc - large pieces of
material, paint, A4 paper, donations of food (eg. rice, cous-cous, teabags,
fresh veg), rope/polyprop, tables and chairs, sofas, tarps, wallpaper paste,
buckets, paintbrushes, chalk, chicken wire
- Things we would love to see on the day inc- you, your friends, everyone we
know, firebreathers, stiltwalkers, breakdancers, your own info-tables, more
free food stalls, kamikaze sound systems, bands, poets, kids, people with
paint and paintbrushes, puppeteers, jugglers, drummers, lovers, 50ft people,
genetically-modified anarchists, five-legged eco-warriors(TM) etc etc
Okay, so you get the picture..(as we said) more details to follow...keep
